For March, we are thrilled to feature Sophia and Joseph’s gorgeous wedding at Oxford Hotel in Denver with day of coordination by the wonderful Mountain Magnolia Weddings. Scroll through to discover their romantic wedding full of historic charm and whimsical elegance.
The Wedding
Sophia and Joseph started their day getting ready in their respective rooms at the Oxford Hotel. Joseph wore a suit from Bonobos, with his ring and watch from Na Hoku. Sophia, meanwhile, had her hair done by Tina Early before getting dressed in her Justin Alexander gown from The Bridal Collection. She completed the look with shoes from Gianni Bini and a necklace from Ring Concierge. Her rings were from Brilliant Earth and Helzberg.
Once ready, the two shared a private first look that transitioned into swoony couple’s portraits throughout the hotel, captured by their talented photographer, Ringhand Photo, and videography by Mason Geils Media. Sophia and Joseph opted to capture their wedding party and family portraits prior to their ceremony to make the most of their timeline, and the Oxford Hotel was the perfect setting for them.
Their ceremony within the hotel was intimate, with romantic chandelier lighting and delicate white bows on the aisle seats and florals by Flowers on the Vine. During their reception, guests were greeted by a playful “Ring for Champagne” wall, where flutes appeared through luxe draping for a cinematic moment. The Oxford Hotel provided the bartending and catering, while sweet donuts from Krispy Kreme were a delicious treat in addition to the wedding cake. Colorful signage from Mountain View Signs added a playful touch to the space, along with the couple’s white and pink checkered dance floor. DJ Manos kept the energy high while MiHi Entertainment provided a photo booth for guests to memorialize the night.
Sophia & Joseph’s Favorite Memory
Sophia and Joseph’s favorite wedding day memory was their ceremony! Sophia remarks, “I did very little planning for this part of the event and because of it, I was able to enjoy it for what it was. We laughed, we cried, we kissed and we walked out on cloud nine.”
Advice From the Couple
Sophia urges couples currently planning their weddings to not over plan any one aspect of their day. She says, “Although it’s hard to do, the best approach is not to over plan every detail. When every minute of the day is planned, and it doesn’t go as planned – as it most definitely won’t – it’s hard to “go with the flow.” Moments are most enjoyable when they just happen.”
