Vows that Wow – Savannah & Ryan

Here at Wed Society, we continually receive and feature stunning weddings from across Colorado, thanks to the ever talented vendors and amazing couples who submit to us. Each month, we choose one of those weddings that is truly stunning to specially showcase.

For September, we are thrilled to feature Savannah and Ryan’s stunning wedding at Hotel Colorado. Scroll through to discover more about their special day and experience the sweeping views, romantic details, and deep emotions of their wedding.

The Wedding

Savannah and Ryan’s summer wedding at Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs was everything one could wish for in a classic, Colorado mountain wedding. With beautiful views in every direction and the historic architecture of their venue, the beauty of their wedding day was only enriched by their talented team of wedding professionals who truly brought their vision to life.

The night before their wedding, the couple held their rehearsal dinner at Hookers Rooftop where delicious, authentic Mexican food was provided by Frida and tasty donuts from Sweet Coloradough. Local print shop, Gran Farnum Printing, was to thank for ensuring all the guests were in attendance through suppling the full invitation suite.

Finding her bridal gown at True Society in Kansas, Savannah wore an Essence of Australia gown complete with shoes from Dolce Vita. Both bride and groom had their engagement rings from Helzberg Jeweler’s, and wedding rings from Lindwedel Jewelers. Savannah’s final look was completed by Aly Rose Beauty who provided divine hair and makeup services. Ryan’s suit from Jos. A. Bank was a picture-perfect blue that seamlessly matched the blue details throughout their entire day.

Botanicals Floral Art provided the truly breathtaking florals for their big day, while BBJ La Tavola provided the luxurious linens and Premier Party Rentals supplied the chairs. Their lovely outdoor ceremony was filled with beautiful live music from Bridget Law and Tierro. During their cocktail hour, guests were entertained by the wildly adorable burros from Aspen Beer Burro. Once the wedding moved inside for the reception, Elite Entertainment provided the DJ, dance floor, and a fun disco horse to keep the energy high all through the night. Chipper Booth helped couple and guests alike capture fun photo memories with their photo booth during the reception. The wedding cake, a multi-tiered masterpiece of delicate piping, was crafted by Afternoon Delight Bakery.

Hotel Colorado was not only the perfect setting for their romantic wedding, the venue also provided bartending and catering throughout the day, making the wedding planning a breeze and the day of execution go off without a hitch. In fact, Savannah and Ryan were so impressed with Hotel Colorado, they said, “our favorite and most helpful vendor was without a doubt our venue, which also served as our caterer and bar service. From the very beginning, they made the planning process feel special and personalized. They helped us curate every little detail from the menu to the signature cocktails to the layout and flow of the event, so that we would get exactly what we wanted and better our guest experience. The venue itself was historic and elegant, with multiple spaces that allowed us to create different moments throughout the day. Our courtyard ceremony was intimate and beautiful, and transitioning our guests into the grand ballroom for the reception felt seamless and exactly what we envisioned. Beyond the setting, the staff truly went above and beyond the entire weekend—not only for us, but for each of our guests. We’ve had so many friends and family comment on how well they were cared for. The location was also ideal, with plenty for our out-of-town guests to enjoy walking downtown, grabbing coffee or breakfast, or even hiking nearby. On top of all that, the venue team was a huge help in recommending other vendors and offering creative ideas, which made the whole planning process feel smooth, stress-free, and genuinely fun.”

Throughout the entirety of their special day, Kara Moore Photo was to thank for capturing the truly stunning photos. Additionally, without the skillful coordination of Cassidy and Co. Events, the day could not have run as seamlessly as it did.

Savannah & Ryan’s Favorite Memory

The couple’s favorite wedding day memory was easily the experience of getting to celebrate with all of their loved ones, both near and far, all in one place.

Advice From the Couple

When asked what advice they would give to other couples planning their weddings, Savannah shared, “I realized how important it is to remember that the day is a celebration of you and your partner. No one knows you better than each other. Trust your instincts, listen to one another, and shape the day around what feels authentic to your relationship and your vibe. I also learned while planning is that it truly takes a village. Having an experienced vendor team who can share ideas and guide you through the process makes such a difference.”
