Here at Wed Society, we continually receive and feature stunning weddings from across Colorado, thanks to the ever talented vendors and amazing couples who submit to us. Each month, we choose one of those weddings that is truly stunning to specially showcase.

For August, we are thrilled to feature Caroline and Hayden’s stunning wedding at The Broadmoor. Scroll through to discover more about their gorgeous day and experience the love, emotions, and beauty of their wedding.

The Wedding

From the moment the couple were first engaged, Caroline knew she wanted a pink wedding venue and dove headfirst into searching for the perfect one. On the day she inquired with The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Hayden came home and asked her if she had considered the iconic venue. That was the moment Caroline knew having their wedding at The Broadmoor was meant to be! Combined with The Broadmoor’s breathtaking views, sophisticated architecture and grounds, and overall glam, it truly was the perfect setting for the couple’s wedding.

As an out of state couple, Caroline and Hayden sourced several of their vendors in the area local to them in Oklahoma. The vendors who traveled to Colorado for their special day were their wedding planner, Embellished Weddings, makeup artist, K Shelton Beauty, live band Jordan Kahn Orchestra, and their videographer, Ty Uhles Videography. The couple also found their wedding day attire in Oklahoma, with Caroline wearing a Maggie Sottero gown from Bella Rose Bridal and Hayden’s tux was from The Black Tux. When it came to their wedding rings, Caroline’s stunning ring was from Edigers in Enid, Oklahoma, and Hayden’s from BC Clark in Oklahoma City. Caroline also wore a beautiful headpiece from Millennium Bride and her flowing veil was from Bella Rose Bridal where her bridesmaids also found their sweet, blush gowns. Caroline’s look was completed with David Yurman bracelets, and her diamond earrings from her mother as her something borrowed!

Before their wedding day, the couple set the tone for their guests with one of a kind invitations from Emily Mayne Studio that featured a watercolor painting of The Broadmoor. The night before their wedding, they held their rehearsal dinner at the nearby Garden of the Gods Resort and Club.

When their wedding day finally arrived, Southern Charm Wedding and Events transformed the already gorgeous venue into an absolute showstopper with breathtaking florals and silken bows. Caroline tells us that “my favorite local vendor had to be Southern Charm! Cheri was a true lifesaver—especially for me as an out-of-state bride. Not only did she have incredible industry connections, but she also sourced the most stunning silk bows that gracefully lined the ceremony aisle before being repurposed at the head table for our reception. Her creativity and vision were unmatched—she really listened to my ideas (even when I didn’t quite know what I wanted!) and instantly knew how to bring them to life. Working with her was a dream, both professionally and personally. Cheri is such a genuine person who knows this industry inside and out, and I’m so grateful she was part of our big day!” Southern Charm, along with Embellished Weddings and Design Works, provided the elegant signage throughout the event. The remaining decor and rentals that fully brought the vision to life were from Nuage Linens, BBJ La Tavola, and Design Works. Kari Joy Photography was their talented photography, there to capture all the immaculate details and emotions throughout the day.

The morning of their wedding was spent getting ready with their loved ones prior to an emotional first look. Once the couple saw each other, their nerves flew away and they were ready to tackle the day. Their waterfront ceremony was the picture of high glam and luxury, perfectly executed by their whole team of vendors. After their ceremony, the day flowed into their reception with mouth-watering food and an impressive 5-tier cake provided by The Broadmoor. The indoor reception hall was bursting with details, from sparkling chandeliers, silken bows, and golden accents. After dinner, the couple had their first dance and cake cutting, before the dance floor was opened for a celebratory night of laughter, dancing, and good cheer with glammed up cowboy hats distributed for all to wear. At the end of the night, Caroline and Hayden made their exit through a streamer tunnel, their loved ones sending them off to a happy future.

Caroline & Hayden’s Favorite Memory

Despite so many amazing moments throughout their wedding day, there was one moment that stood out above all the others. Caroline tells us, “my favorite wedding day memory was, without a doubt, my first look with Hayden. I’d been a bundle of nerves all morning, counting down the minutes until I could finally see him. The moment he turned around, standing outside The Broadmoor with the mountains framing the scene, my heart felt so at peace. I handed him a little handkerchief embroidered with, “For the tears you’re not going to cry – your bride, Caroline.” He burst out laughing—because of course, he’d always sworn he was “too manly” to cry—but the second our eyes met, the tears started flowing. It was the sweetest, most genuine moment, and I’ll cherish it forever.”

Advice From the Couple

We asked Caroline what advice she had for engaged couples currently planning their weddings, especially any that might be traveling to Colorado for a destination weddings. Her insight was invaluable as she informed us, “I learned the value of trusting my local vendors—the true boots on the ground! Planning a wedding in a place you don’t know well is no small feat, and without a Wed Society Colorado to guide me [at the time], I had to fully lean on the incredible experts I’d chosen. It was the best decision I could have made. They knew the area, anticipated what I didn’t, and brought every detail of my vision to life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”
